Monsoons are one of the most looked forward season but when it comes to curating weddings it could, the thought could be challenging considering the various issues one may have to face. The thought of having a monsoon wedding sounds so romantic and exciting. Planning it, might be out of the boxbut it has its own charm that cannot be matched with any other.

Venue: Choosing the right venue for a monsoon wedding is extremely crucial. Opting for an enclosed venue with large windows or walls is advisable. With the rains in the backdrop, it could not only give a scenic vibe but also the guests would be thankful for hassle free arrangements.

India is blessed with some of the most picturesque locations for a monsoon wedding. Goa being one of the most popular destinations. One can either go for a beach wedding or get hitched in one of the old churches. The city of palaces, Udaipur has also become one of the trendiest destinations to tie the knot. It also has many luxury hotels such as The Oberoi Udaivilas, The Leela Palace to give a royal touch to your wedding this monsoon.

Decor: To set the gloomy weather away, Monsoon wedding calls for a fun, colourful and beautiful ideas. Colourful Umbrellas are synonymous to monsoon and incorporating pop of colour in your pre-wedding shoot, décor or on the wedding gifts will brighten the overall ambience/theme of the wedding.Setting the tone of the venue with colourful floral drapes decorated with festive bulbs is a fun way to add colour to venue. Personalising sign boards with quirky one liners are perfect for a candid photo shoots, backdrops and props. One can also use props made out of paper boats , paper flowers or rice lights for a diaphanous curtains.

Menu: With the cool weather outside, it is natural to serve guests with piping hot treats during monsoon weddings.  There is whole sea of options when it comes to choosing the right kind of food during this season. One can serve hot fritters, traditional jalebi with rabri or steaming cup of coffee or tea. Live food counters are the best way to ensure everything is cooked fresh. These quintessential treats would surely make your guests comfortable and enjoy the wedding to the fullest.

Rainwear at the wedding: To make sure the guests are comfortable, umbrellas and rain wear (fanct rain coats) should be kept handy at the entrance. One can personalize the umbrellas according to the theme of the wedding to ensure uniformity. Monsoon also means wet grounds. To keep the whole experience pleasant for the guests, one of the best way is to keep flip flopsin various colours and sizes. It is a great idea for the sangeet night too when its time to kicking off the heels and dancing the night away.
