Sonam K Ahuja’s Midas touch works for ‘The Zoya Factor!’

Sonam Kapoor, the lucky charm for Fox Star Studio
After winning accolades for her performance in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga beginning this year that went on to break new ground while tackling a sensitive subject with grace and humour, Sonam K Ahuja has once again caught everyone’s attention with her latest release, The Zoya Factor!
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, The Zoya Factor has been garnering huge accolades from the audience, critics and industry alike. The film brings together Sonam K Ahuja and South film industry’s heartthrob, Dulquer Salmaan.
However, the leading lady’s performance in the movie has once again stood out and how. Sonam plays the titular character of Zoya Singh Solanki, a girl who is said to be lucky for the Indian cricket team. The icing on the cake being Sonam and Dulquer’s cute chemistry working wonders at the box office. Another important factor considered for the favourable response towards the film is the perfect amalgamation of cricket and entertainment generating good number of footfalls in the cinema halls.
From being referred to as ‘perfect’ for the title role of Zoya to being labelled ‘flawless’ Sonam has once again cemented her position as a versatile actor.
Be it Neerja, Padman, Veere Di Wedding or Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Sonam has the innate quality of making every character her own and that is what makes her stand apart from her contemporaries.
The star has caught everyone’s attention not only with her impressive performances but also with her brave choices of films that have ushered change while doing well at the box office. And The Zoya Factor is a shining example.
For a young girl to have this huge responsibility of a game which is worshipped in India, is no small feat. Yet, Sonam K Ahuja takes up the character and portrays the complexity with such ease, like the book from which the film has been adapted and written keeping her in mind.
