Piyush Sahdev intends to go ‘Limitless’ in his forthcoming endeavours

Piyush Sahdev

Born in Delhi on March 12, 1982, Piyush Sahdev made his television debut with Meet Mila De Rabba on Sony TV where he played the protagonist’s role of Kulwant Singh. Over the years, Piyush has established himself as a successful actor but initially, he faced a lot of struggle in his career.
Speaking about his shortcomings Piyush says, ”I remember there was a time when I was shy and lacked confidence. It took me some time to come out of my shell. Acting is a profession where one should not have any reservations and one should be shameless. I, as an actor, always try to update myself. Update and upgrade are the two most important factors for an actor. So, in between I have learned Bharatnatyam and also trained in music. When I started all this, people around me thought I was mad because they didn’t understand how Bharatnatyam and singing were related to acting. But people should know acting is all about expressing emotions and both dancing and singing can help you to achieve that.”
Elaborating on the transformation of an actor, Piyush feels one has to change with time. He adds, ”Once I met a producer and we were discussing an actor’s transformation and he told me that we were like a product and should update ourselves from time to time. And I also believe that. After my knee surgery I have also undergone a transformation and whenever I feel a better version of me can evolve I try and work on that. I am planning to have a new photo-shoot and am preparing for that now and will try to shed a few extra kilos. I want to go limitless.”
Sahdev has gone from strength to strength in the TV industry. After featuring in Ghar Ek Sapnaa, Geet and Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, he played the role of Abhigyan in Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath. He was also seen as playing the lead role Kabir in Zee TV’s Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke.
In 2017, Sahdev acted in Sony TV’s Beyhadh as Samay, which garnered him a lot of appreciation. Later, Piyush Sahdev also joined Colors TV’s Devanshi in the same year. In 2018, he was seen as playing Siraj in Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah. Currently, he is doing pos show on Colors TV’s Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali, where he is portraying Abu Fazal.
Piyush has proved beyond doubt that he is a versatile actor. He has played a wide array of roles. He has not limited himself to playing the protagonist, he has also portrayed negative roles as well as a character or supporting roles.
