Mouni Roy to star Opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Bole Chudiyan
Taking forward the trend of unusual pairing, Woodpecker Movies’ next film will feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mouni Roy. Titled Bole Chudiyan, this romantic movie will have Mouni Roy a demure small town girl who is all by heart. The project will be directed by Nawazuddin’s brother Shamas Siddiqui. Shooting for the film starts in May 2019 and is expected to be completed by June 2019 so that the movie can have an October 2019 Diwali release.
Both Mouni Roy and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are excellent actors who have made humble beginnings. Nawazuddin Siddiqui started playing character roles for a long time and first shot to limelight with Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. From here there was no looking back with him giving power packed performance each time he is on screen. Movies like The Lunch Box, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Thackrey and Petta have been milestones in his career with Petta marking him Tamil debut alongside Rajnikant. He also experimented in the web series space with Sacred Games that was again a huge hit. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be next seen in the movie Photograph where is being paired with Sanya Malhotra, another unusual and fresh pairing.
Mouni Roy began her acting career with the Balaji show “ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”. She was also seen in other tv serials like Kasturi, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadevan and the last being Nagin. Mouni Roy made her Bollywood Debut in the movie Gold last year where she was cast opposite Akshay Kumar. It was a critically acclaimed movie and Mouni was well appreciated for her acting skills. Bole Chudiyan will be Mouni Roy’s fifth Hindi movie. Interestingly, she will also be seen on the silver screen in the epic movie Brahmastra that stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, and in other movies including Romeo Akbar Walter and Made In China.
Bole Chudiyan is a romantic feel-good movie, a genre that Nawazuddin Siddiqui has less explored and something that the audience has been wanting to see him in for a long time.
