Manikarnika finally begins to receive much-needed accolades from Bollywood
Slowly but surely Manikarnika is getting her due word of acclaim and finding admirers in Bollywood too.
After Kangana’s lashing out at big stars of Bollywood for ganging up against her and ignoring to reciprocate support during the promotion of her movies, seasoned Bollywood actor Anupam Kher and former beauty queen and Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta have come forward with the open message of admiration and support.
Anupam Kher and Tanushree Dutta are known for raising their voice openly on the matters of substance and issues that concern society. Anupam was liberal with his words while praising Kangana for incredible performance in movie Manikarnika. He even went to the extent of calling her a true example of women empowerment. While applauding her work he said, “Kangana Ranaut is a rockstar” and even called her ‘the real example of women empowerment’.
Beauty queen and Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta was is in news again for being invited by Harward business school in Boston, Massachusetts for addressing their event. Former beauty queen and actress may have moved back to the US but her connection back home is deep-rooted and she remains well abreast with all the developments happening here. In her sweet way of harping praise on Kangana, she opted to write an open letter. She said, Kangana Ranaut has proved her mettle once again with ‘Manikarnika: She played the character of Rani Laxmibai who fought with the Britishers to save her land and its people. Kangana is the only one who made it to the top of her game in Bollywood without the nagging support and recommendation of A- list male stars, without a high profile surname or an unrealistically perfect, pure and pious facade that most Bollywood actresses seem to wear on and off screen. Besides being a powerhouse performer, she has truly set an example of someone who has made a unique and celebrated place for herself in an industry tough to conquer for an outsider.”
As Tanushree addressed Kangana she also said, “Kangana, they don’t support you because they are intimidated by your talent, they hate your guts and their brawny thick muscle brains can’t seem to figure out for the love of sweet be Jesus how on earth you made it this far without them!! They think they are Gods and its blasphemy to acknowledge that you shouldered a multimillion-dollar film on your own. With ‘Manikarnika’s success, you have hit them on their softest spot and it will take them some time to recover. They will come around eventually… they have to or else they run the risk of being irrelevant.”
Tanushree added that she hasn’t seen the film so far but her friends in the US are recommending her to watch it. She asked Kangana to keep up the good work and keep being herself.
