For the love of Punjabi Cinema- Harbhajan Mann and Manmohan Singh reunite to make 'PR'

Someone has rightly said, ‘Good things never make an easy comeback, they wait for that perfect moment to transpire and take the spotlight from overdone and tired trends. Same is applicable in the context of hit Jodidi of Punjabi Cinema, very talented actor and singer of Pollywood, Harbhajan Mann and ace Bollywood and Pollywood cinematographer, Manmohan Singh. Its time for double celebration for the audience of Punjabi cinema too as they will be getting a dose of unlimited entertainment. The duo is all set to recreate the magic and tale of success and take entertainment a notch up. After churning out a successive line of hit movies in past duo had raised the level of Punjabi movies and worked on the subjects that were socially relevant and conveyed a noble message. 

They remained flagbearer of raising socially relevant issues with medium best suited to them and changed the way People perceived Punjabi movies, they revived the entire dimension of the way Punjabi movies were being made. Their first movie ‘Jee Ayon Nu’ was made on a meager budget but the movie had a smashing opening to become the biggest hit of the time. In fact, all the movies they did together in the early to mid-2000 like Jee Ayan Nu, Mitti Wajaan Maardi, Mera Pind, Asa Nu Maan Watna Da, Dil Apna Punjabi were successful However, this didn’t continue further and without giving any reasons duo parted ways but always shared fond memories of each other. Now on joining back, Harbhajan Mann said, ‘We have always been questioned on our reunion but this was only a matter of time,” we had to collaborate and we have done so. To make this recent development public singer and actor took to social media handle and shared poster of the movie, he was last seen in 2016 and now with ‘PR’, he is all set to steal the show. As he shared the poster of the film he wrote, “It gives me immense joy to announce my next film, which is being directed by Manmohan Singh, Produced by Sarang Films & HM Records titled “PR”. From working on movies based on lives of NRI’s where they asked NRI’s to connect back with their roots, to making movies on subjects dealing with drugs and other socially relevant issues, both worked ahead of their time. Harbhajan is known to be championing the cause of drug abuse in Punjab and has worked aggressively against the menace. Harbhajan has never compromised on the quality of content in his movies or music. He has always struck a perfect balance between contemporary changes and traditional values. And he rightly reflected this through his movies. He has been experimenting and taking risks while dealing with difficult yet meaningful subjects.

No wonders that director of Punjabi films and cinematographer of Bollywood films, Manmohan Singh connects so strongly with Harbhajan Mann. Manmohan Singh holds the recognition of being the most talented and multifaceted director and cinematographer of Bollywood and Pollywood who was applauded for his incredible work in superhit Bollywood movies like Chaalbaaz, Lamhe, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Chandni.
