Juggernaut of Alia Bhatt is rolling at high speed and taking not only bollywood but also ad world into her stride. At a very budding stage she has bagged the accolade for her histrionic skills and with her finesse and style sense posed challenge to the most talked about divas of bollywood to her peer group. Her blitzkrieg of tv commercials is proliferating and tally of brand endorsements is increasing as Ad Gurus and Brands have found in her an appealing character with expressive visage.
TOSHI from HIGH ON PERSONA had a candid conversation with very versatile, vivacious, chirpy, perky and full of beans Alia Bhatt and dwelled into her personal and professional space she gave answers to different questions asked.
“I believe in equal treatment to men and women both.”
ON FEMINISM AND WOMENHOOD
Its not about male bashing in the name of being feminist but about equality. Even man can also be a feminist in that regard. Concept has often been misconstrued, I believe in equal treatment to men and women both. Eqality is the birth right of women and its high time that people realise this. I may not be campaigning for women rights but that doesn’t mean that I am not a feminist. I believe in equal rights.
ON HER MAN
A good looking man, with sense of humor and his fragrance are the things which turn me on. Whereas, halitosis (bad breath) is something which is huge turn off for me. There are some people who always have the habit of talking about them is the one more thing I hate. There should be a nice communication between the two about every possible topic. Talking on more Alia shares that if she likes someone and things don’t work out than “I wont give up rather I would make all effort to correct that. I’m stubborn, I will fight till I see any ray of hope. If at all the things still don’t fix up , I would drop it there and will leave it on my destiny and God.
ON THE BOND OF MARRIAGE
I completely believe in the institution of marriage and I think between 30 and 32, it’s the best time to get hitched. I too have set such goals for my personal life besides my career ambitions. For me marriage is all about family, husband, babies, it’s your own world. Oh, I love babies a lot by the way, fatty and cuties.” (Laughs).
ON SCOPE OF IMPROVEMENT.
There are lots of things I can improve upon. For films, I need to speak Hindi. I am uncomfortable with language so I try pushing the barriers. Adding to it, I need to get better as a dancer in different dance forms. I am happy that I am growing up by each day as an actor. Changes are part of life, but now when I look back I feel that I am completely changed as an actor. Moreover what I basically learned is being cool is being yourself. It’s not bothering about what people have to say about me anymore. I am now cooler when people laughed at me for my lack of general knowledge. I’ve learned that true actors are the one who can laugh at themselves to make their audience laugh. So it’s completely enjoyable to me too.

ON FASHION & STYLE MANTRA
My mantra is simple, you must follow any fashion, style, makeup and beauty trend according to your personality and skin type. One should be comfortable with his or her looks and not follow fashion trends blindly. I find beach fashion as most comfortable and best fashion, its cool, carefree yet fashionable, Just wear pair of slippers, shorts and still look cool.
MOST STYLISH IN BOLLYWOOD
Amitabh Bachhan for sure, he carries timeless style and appeal and is a complete fashion icon. He looks classy, graceful and elegant always on screen or off screen.
